Alex had his field trip to the roller rink Wednesday morning...and he was a little unsure about going because this was his first time!  I remember having so much fun as a kid roller skating!  I'm not sure how I'd do these days...I didn't find out!

He was a little wobbly to start...but it didn't take much time to get his confidence!

All the kids were a hoot!  Some of them were falling on purpose...and some of them sure had a few good tricks to show off!  Alex had the best time...and his PE teacher was the one responsible for allowing all the kids this fun chance to roller skate!  Talk about a hoot!  He's an older, hilarious man who acts just like one of the kids!  He teased Alex when he was fixing his skate by asking him which one was his girlfriend!  Then he shouted out in the crowd, "Don't worry girls, he'll be out there in a second!"  Ha!  Alex told me he knows where he wants to have his birthday party this year!  I did agree to skate if that happened...gulp...we'll see!

I ♥ Faces - Week 16 - {Collage}

I ♥ Faces is letting you bring all your favorite photos together in a fun collage!  And since I heart Summer...I picked a few of our most favoritest thing to do when the weather warms up...swimming!  We open our pool tomorrow, so we're ready to cool off and jump in!  Yippee! 

We also like to eat lots of popsicles, plant beautiful flowers {if I can keep them alive!} and lay out and look at the clouds...aaah...Summer...

When Does the Laundry Get Done?

Monday - Allergy doctor after school, swimming lessons from 5:30pm - 6:00pm

Tuesday - {skipping} volunteering in Emily's class to have a free morning to catch up on things, preschool meeting from 12:00pm - 2:30pm, Ice Show practice from 4:30pm - 5:00pm

Wednesday - {skipping} Bible Study for a roller skating field trip with Alex's class in the morning, Emily's baseball practice from 5:00pm - 6:30pm, Alex's baseball practice from 6:30pm - 8:00pm

Thursday - set up for preschool ice-cream social 9:00am - 10:30am, {skipping} ballet practice to be at Ice Show Rehearsal from 4:30pm - 7:00pm, help serve and clean up from preschool ice-cream social after rehearsal

Friday - first Ice Show performance 7:00pm

Saturday - two Ice Show performances 3:00pm and 7:00pm, Alex's baseball practice from 6:30pm - 8:00pm {which I will miss}

Sunday - final Ice Show performace 2:00pm

Whew!  I hope I haven't forgotten anything!  Writing it down here will hopefully help me remember...hopefully!  It's another one of those weeks...I'm exhausted thinking about it...I'm giving up some things to do others...but I can't complain...I know there are so many more families with more children going from here to there and back who are even busier...or families who aren't able to participate in activities at all.  We are truly blessed and thankful for these opportunities to be involved in so many things...but I will still get overwhelmed and tired and feel icky because we'll probably be eating out alot this week...and I said I was going to miss this one day!

But...

...at least we finally finished this...

{Alex got his Science Fair project all done over the weekend because I knew there would not be time for it this week...it's due on Friday.  Good luck, Alex!}

...and had some time to play with this...

{Emily got new 3D chalk...when you wear the glasses, the chalk really does pop out!  Very fun!}

...and Alex even got caught doing some more of this...

{Emily had ice-skating and a birthday party to attend Saturday afternoon...and this is what I came home to!  Ha!  He must've had a pretty good morning with Dan going to the Barber Shop and for lunch at Chili's!}

...but not really much time for this...

{With the free time I have...I still neglect this.  These baskets used to be neatly folded...but Alex and Emily have been digging for clothes to wear all week...sigh...}

Hey, Batter Batter...

Baseball Season has finally begun for this little junior!

I was worried she would be the only girl on the team...but turns out there are five!  And more than one pink mitt and helmet!  Ha!

Her little legs can run fast!

And her little arm can throw hard!

I'm excited to watch her play this season and have fun!  And she's thrilled to be out there...and she only asked the coach for a break once, ha!  She just walked right up behind him when he was getting ready to pitch and said..."Can I take a break?" 

She did a great job for her first practice...way to go!

{Meanwhile...Alex kept busy by organizing his DS games!  At least until he starts his baseball practice soon!}

Weekend Wrap-up...

Really...I don't know where the weekends go...or each day for that matter.  I think maybe I slept...but each day runs into the next!  But it's all for fun...fun on the run!

Saturday I took Emily to ice-skating practice...her Ice Show is coming up...and she's getting so excited to get her outfit!  Ha! 
But first a few with Miss Animal Lover with as Many Clips as She Can Get in Her Hair before we head out...

{It was not super cold in the ice rink!  Emily's lips were not blue...and my toes were not popsicles...brrr!}

{Ha...I love the girl in her soccer uniform behind Emily!  Guess I'm not the only one running around town too!}

{I love how the girls are facing in all directions...or not doing anything at all!  I wonder if they'll be ready in just two weeks!  Ha!  But they sure are so cute...and so fun to watch...it cracks me up!}

After practice...we had to warm up somehow...maybe some delicious warm chips and salsa from Chili's...mmm! 

{Alex did not have fun trying to blow the biggest bubble while waiting for those chips...}

{...and we did not stop and smell the flowers pinwheels...and run free at Hobby Lobby for a little bit long time!  And...Emily is absolutely not wearing socks with her flip flops...geez...she has better fashion sense than that!}

{...and Alex is not dressed like a construction cone...who's kids are these, anyway?  I do not love shopping at Hobby Lobby...but we always end up with something we do not need...really...like this wall cling Alex picked out...good grief...doesn't everyone need one of those?}

Okay...time to go home...I have to use the potty so bad from all the sweet tea I drank at Chili's...and I was not lazy enough to wait until we got home instead of walk all the way to the back of the store...ahem...but did we stay home...

...of course not!  We had to stop at the school playground and run off that never-ending supply of energy...

...and to find Emily's twin!

Such a fun and busy day...Emily was talking to Dan one second...and the next second...zzzzzzz...on the couch!  Ha!  She already had her bath and Dan had to carry her up to bed...that's the best!

Sunday was pretty low-key...Sunday School in the morning...and then I went to help the preschool board set up for a fundraiser...while the kids ran wild at the neighbors!  {We have some great neighbors...and so many kids to play with!}

The pictures don't do any justice...but it looked fabulous!  One of my sweet friends on the board and her husband, a chef, own a cute little bistro in town and they closed the restaurant to host a fundraiser for the preschool...they sold every seat!  I had so much fun pretending to know what I was doing setting the tables!  It almost makes me want to throw a fancy party...almost! 

Another busy week ahead...summer is calling!  Hope you had a great weekend too!  The weather couldn't have been better!
