Inside Martin Manor - The Master Suite

I'm not a huge Oprah fan, but I do watch sometimes and love when decorating is the topic, of course! I've always remembered something she said about your bedroom...it should be neat, clutter-free, relaxing, and calm...because it's the first thing you see in the morning and the last thing you see at the end of day. I've never been extremely happy with our bedroom, but it doesn't have a lot of clutter...I've got that part right, I guess! I've changed the comforter a million times, I hardly ever make the bed, and there are usually some slippers that belong to little feet somewhere strewn on the floor along with pj's, pillows and little cups of water on the night stands! {ok, not sounding so clutter-free anymore!} But, regardless, I do love that it's a place where we can all relax, snuggle and watch tv on a rainy day...thanks to the King-size bed!

the Master suite

{this chair belonged to Dan's Grandma and has been with us since we've been married, too! We found a nice little spot for it in the corner after it's been in just about every other room in our house already!}

Simple, definitely not fancy, but another room where we 'live' and not without lots of photos!

To visit more of the Manor, go here! This pretty much concludes the tour, unless the laundry room counts! If I'm creative enough to make it a post of more than the one photo it would take to capture it...maybe I'll continue the tour! Don't forget to come back, you're always Welcome!

    I think I might follow in your footsteps and do a post like this (linking back to you of course!).

  5. Lovely, lovely, lovely. I think the thing that caught my eye the most was the beautiful arrangement of pictures above your bed. And the chair in the corner. It looks like a place you can escape to and truly relax when you need to.

  6. Very relaxing room! Love the chair in the corner. That would be my reading nook. :) Unfortunately, I haven't mastered the uncluttered look. I have far too much 'stuff'. But I'm working on it!
