We've had a great summer! Although it went too fast, we managed to do lots of fun things! We've been on the move a lot, rarely spending much time at home because of the home remodel. It's been challenging, to say the least, but the kids have been awesome troopers and we've definitely made the time memorable!

We had a great summer vacation to Destin, Florida and spent time with family while we were there. We also had a great week in a cabin in the woods with Grammy, catching crawdads, playing pool and hiking. Emily passed her figure skating test and moved up to the next level! She's also getting ready for her next competition! We ended our summer with a stay in a family cabin in Brown County State Park. We still were busy finishing up our last-minute school things, but had fun playing at the water park and horse-back riding! {Can't wait to post about all those memories soon!}
And now...we are back to this...

It's really just too early for this, mom...I am not a morning person!
My sixth-grader, Alex! He's sure growing up! I can't believe this will be his last year in elementary school! Looking forward to watching him succeed and grow this year!

My fifth-grader, Emily! I just love her enthusiasm for school! She was excited to wear her new clothes...she has her outfits picked out for the whole week! She is happy to see her friends and try new things this year! She has matured so much! Can't wait to see what this year has in store for her!

There they go...next year they will not be headed to the bus stop together...that will be hard for me not seeing them together!
