The days are going fast...as usual...the nights, on the other hand, just a touch s-l-o-w-e-r...

It's been hard getting Elizabeth on a good sleep schedule...but I know it will pass, and I'm enjoying the extra snuggles from her...but mommy needs her sleep...especially with another soon-to-be night owl due to arrive within three months!
...but somehow moms are geared to function on less than desirable sleep...
...we wake up, and get through most days...
...even when we wake up like this!
...we are ready for a full day!
Most days of the week are spent at the ice rink where Emily practices three days a week. She loves ice-skating and I love watching her!
She just completed her third competition a few weeks ago...

We are so proud of Emily! She was just a bit disappointed this time because she fell completing a turn during her routine. She placed fourth and feels even more determined to do better next time! It only makes me happy to see her always do her best, try her hardest, and enjoy it so much!

It not only makes my heart happy to watch Emily skate...but to also have Alex ask me to join him on his field trip to the ice rink! He is at an age where it's not cool to have your mom come eat lunch with you at school or give a hug in public...but he wanted me there this time, and I didn't hesitate a second to oblige! {I know he's still a mommy's boy...but I won't tell anyone!}
Last weekend, we had a fun family day watching some other fun characters ice skate at Disney on Ice!

It was such a fun show...it even choked me up a bit, only to see how much excitement it brings to the kids to see all the characters, almost like being back at Disney World! There is always something so magical about it all!
I can't believe that January is over! But it only means that we are closer to Spring!
In the meantime...we enjoyed a little bit of snowfall over the weekend, which always makes the kids happy!
