Happy on the Fourth!

This morning I tortured treated Alex, Emily and Skipper to a little photo shoot!  There were less than more than excited!  {Thanks for being good sports!}  It's such a festive holiday and we should be so thankful for our freedom!

An Ex{Zoo}berant Day

Today was another gorgeous day!  I woke up thinking it would be a great day to do...nothing...and catch up on...nothing...but I forgot that I mentioned maybe going to the zoo this week...and Emily doesn't forget those things!  It was the perfect day to go...and apparently everyone else thought so too!  So we went and it was lots of fun!

{This was my first attempt at getting their picture...and they were already complaining...they act like I take their picture all the time or something...geesh...}

We were on our way to see the Cheetahs first since they are new this summer...but not before stopping here first...

And to stop and visit these on the way...

After we finally got to see the Cheetahs...all Alex could think about was lunch...me too!

After lunch we rode the little train through the Plains...

It was almost time for the Dolphin Show...but we had some time to spare...luckily we were just in time for the Elephant Show!

After the show we were able to go up and pet the elephants...they are rough and the hair is so poky...ouch!

Next up...the Dolphin Pavilion!  {It's always the same show, but they are so fun to watch!}

This time Emily was brave enough to sit in the Splash Zone!

Eventually we made our way back to the front to see the polar bear...

Some penguins, sting rays, seahorses and seals...

...and to pet the sharks...

...before we just about closed the zoo down...

It was a long, fun day...and nothing like I planned...but perfect!
