What's Up? Wednesday

Since I am rarely wordless on Wednesdays...I've ditched the Wordless part today!

We are keeping busy...and trying hard to endure this cold weather here {the kids already have 3 make-up days at the end of the school year...boo!}but sooo looking forward to Spring!

I finally snapped a few pictures of this bouncing girl...

{no matter how short she gets her hair cut...she still manages to get it into pony tails!}

...during her gymnastics...

I love watching how cute the little girls are...and wonder if Emily will ever get to be as good as the older girls!  How in the world do they get their bodies to twist and turn and flip like that?!  But right now...she's enjoying bouncing around on the trampoline and flipping over the bar...

...and still perfecting her head-over-heels cartwheels...

{I know you can hardly see her back in the corner...but I had my camera zoomed all the way out...she was all the way in the back of the gym and it was hard to see her from the bleachers...}

Meanwhile...I love stealing a pic of this ever-so-patient, cute and smiling observor...

She has been great about hanging out wherever we go...for now...that is...until she's mobile!

She went along with me to the dentist {again...} to get a small filling...ugh!  I still have a headache from the noisy drill and whatever else they use to grind into my head!  I have not been the best example with my sweet tooth...I hope Alex, Emily and Elizabeth follow in thier daddy's footsteps...he's only had one cavity his whole life..showoff!  ha!  

Eating sweets also isn't helping my waistline...blah!  I've started using the Wii Fit to get into better shape...but after one day of the boxing and hoola-hooping...my arms and back were so sore!  I took a couple days off...but then went and ruined it the next time when I ate a bunch of cookies after dinner...curses! 

That's about all that's happening around here these days...I miss taking lots of pictures...but I try and get the camera out as much as I can!  Especially since the kids are growing up way too fast!  Elizabeth is just past 8 weeks already!  She's getting so big...and becoming more alert and interested in what's going on all around her.  She's not sleeping all through the night yet...she still wants to eat and be held all the time...and I'm having a hard time telling her otherwise!  She won't be a baby forever...

...I know I can sleep soon enough...yawn...

miscellany monday

{Another Monday...means another day to join carissa at lowercase letters and share your random happenings!}

1.  {rise and shine!}

I think Mondays may be the hardest mornings to get up and get going...especially now that school's in full swing {blah!}...but I have to say that I have enjoyed and appreciated seeing this again...

I'm enjoying these beautiful mornings and the chance to see the sun come up!  {although...I do wish we could get some rain...please!}

2.  {later gator!}

Speaking of school...it's been a full week now for Alex and Emily.  Emily has been up before the sun...dressed and ready each morning!  They seem to be doing great and getting aquainted with their new routines...but I sure miss them...

...it's still hard to believe that they can grow up so fast...

Even though I miss them and wonder how they're doing in school while they're away...my days have gone fairly fast...and before I know it...the bus is coming home already!

3.  {head over heels}

Along with these early mornings...also means a few late evenings too with Emily back in ice-skating and gymnastics.  She's been practicing so hard to do a good cartwheel...and she just couldn't get it.  After her last class, though, her instructor worked alot with her and I could see him talking to her...and the next try...she finally got it!

I asked him what he told her...and he said she just needs to keep her head up when she starts and then keep her eyes on her hands...

...okay...so maybe she's going to need a little lot more practice!  But she is thrilled that she's starting to get the hang of it...sort of!

4.  {big...and snap happy!}

25 weeks now...and growing...only a few months to go!  I'm so eager to meet this newest little girl...but there's still lots more to be done before her arrival!  I've gained at least 20 pounds so far {ugh!}...but I couldn't resist buying this shirt and trying to squeeze into it a few more times, ha!

{I've been using Alex as my photographer...what a good sport...but I tried to take one of myself and realized it's not as easy as I thought...I feel so silly...and I need to clean my mirror!}

I love taking pictures and trying to be creative...but now that my two favorite models are gone at school all day...I haven't taken too many...and I miss it...but I'm so excited to get some sweet pictures of our new little addition soon!

Hole in One Two!

The much anticipated day {for some} has finally arrived!  Two weeks {and a few extra rough nights...in the beginning}...and two holes later...

...Emily got her ear bling!

Her goal was to start staying in her own bed all night for two weeks...and she did it!

She didn't even flinch...she is strange...she actually likes getting shots!  And just like that...two new holes in her head! 

I think I lost more sleep the night before because I was so excited...and the Tooth Fairy was making another visit...I kept thinking she was going to get up and then lose her chance to finally get her ears pierced...but she slept like an angel!  She kept asking all morning, "Is the mall open yet?"  She fixed her hair up in pony tails so her ears were showing and even put on some make-up!  She was ready to look good with earrings!  Ha!

And I think she looks pretty darn cute!  She picked out pink sparkly flowers and then some new earrings to wear once she's able to change them. 

Then we went across the mall to Bath & Body Works and stocked up on soap and a few little PocketBac hand gels to clip on the kids' backpacks.  And of course some lip gloss!

{Alex's picks...he got three holders to clip to his backpack!  For only 50 cents...I thought I could splurge!  ha!}

Next...lunch...and the gym...

{no, I don't work out...this gym...c'mon!  ha!}

Emily starts gymnastics classes again next week...but we love the free time during the Open Gym hours!

It was a great day...

...and quite an exciting week already for Emily!
