So this brings me back to finishing up our summer vacation memories...even though it is well over two months ago and we're now getting excited for the fall season and Halloween!
Winding down to the end of the summer vacation...it's always sad to see it coming...but it only makes us enjoy the last few days even more! This vacation was extra special because we were able to celebrate Alex's 11th birthday at the beginning of the week...and celebrate our fourteenth Anniversary a few days later! We ended the week with more beautiful days that we filled with breakfast and coffee on the balcony, sand, swimming, frisbee, popsicles, lots of sand, walks on the beach and going out to enjoy great food for dinner!
Every morning was beautiful and we enjoyed watching the beach come to life with beach chairs and umbrellas, people walking along the shore, and seeing the boats leave the harbor from afar setting out for a big catch!
Every morning we'd hear the sounds of the ice-cream man headed up the beach, but we always told the kids, No...not today. But not this morning! We started off on the wrong foot with cranky kids and parents...but this time when the ice-cream man got closer...I headed out to ask for a few popsicles! We didn't have enough money, but he was so nice and made sure they each received a treat! It didn't take long to turn our frowns upside down!
This special day was also our fourteenth wedding anniversary...so we celebrated at the Japanese Steakhouse for dinner! We had never taken the kids to a hibachi restaurant before and they truly enjoyed the cooking entertainment more than the food itself...
...and of course the fortune cookies afterwards!
After dinner, we took some traditional evening beach photos that everyone loathes loves!

We've also enjoyed taking time each evening to enjoy the sunset...

...and a beautiful rainbow to complete our last evening of vacation!
It's been another memorable summer vacation...not without it's share of challenges that come along with a newborn and a sassy toddler, and two independent tweens...but an amazing time because we made fun memories, took time to relax and enjoyed having no schedule and no place to be except the beach!
