Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and so many others have not been doing this week.
First of all, I do NOT ever watch reality TV, so I absolutely was NOT watching The Biggest Loser while eating an entire bag of Chex Mix! {At least they're 60% less fat than regular potato chips!} But that doesn't matter because I did NOT eat them! I would've been supporting them and working out right along with them, NOT eating snacks on the couch with my laptop well, in my lap!
I definitely did NOT forget to put Alex's library book in his backpack for library day and I did NOT send him to school thinking it was in his backpack, ready to take his AR test on it, and check out a new book to bring home. He did NOT search through and through his backpack once at school and NOT find it, because I would NOT forget to put it there and make him feel left out at the library and not get to choose another book. I'm so much better than that, so I did NOT do that! (He was also NOT happy with me...that is true!)
We did NOT enjoy the warmer temperatures this week and have some fun outdoors! NO, we love being cooped up inside with cabin fever, bickering at each other and stepping over super-tiny Polly Pocket pieces and Littlest Pet Shop, and anything else tiny that pokes you in the foot when stepped on! We did NOT want to get outside so bad, that Emily didn't even feel the need to put pants on! And I would NOT let her ride her bike with no pants and even get a picture of it! That would be so embarrassing for her someday, and I would go and get her a pair of pants instead!
I did NOT get poked, hit, kicked, elbowed and basically beat up by a little sleeping 5-year-old princess while trying to sleep, because, {as mentioned before} I would NOT let my kids crawl into our bed at night, so that I might get some uninterrupted sleep sometimes! It will surely NOT happen again!
I am NOT so far behind on putting laundry away, that our drawers are pretty much empty and we have to dig through clothes baskets to find something to wear! I am much more organized than that and have better time-management skills than that! Of course all the clothes are sorted by color, season and child and properly put away, puh-lease!
The kids do NOT have way too many toys to play with that they did NOT find the new deck box much more fun than any toy you can buy! {but it makes a great club house!}
And, really, this did NOT happen...I did NOT grumble at Alex when he spilled his whole cup of milk all over the counter and then proceed to pour him a new glass of milk, only to spill it myself! I did NOT hear Alex snicker to Emily and say, "Mommy's like a kid!" {meaning I did just what I told him not to do!} C'mon, I'm much more careful than that!
Seriously, what did you NOT do this week?
Great list...The sleep, the laundry...I can so NOT relate! Too funny about the deck box...my kiddos are the same way...you buy them toys and all they want are the boxes it came in!
ReplyDeleteHappy Not Me Monday!
I can so relate to the deck box. My friend bought a $2500 wooden play thing for her kids.. I went across the street and asked the guys bringing in new appliances to the neighbors if I could have the boxes for a fort for my kids..her kids were at my house playing in the Free boxes until the rain ruined them.She said she should have just bought some boxes!
ReplyDeleteLoved these! Too funny! My sons used to love to play in empty boxes, especially big ones. If it makes you feel any better my husband spilled his water this week (and he spilled it all over his papers, lol!).
ReplyDeleteThe pictures of your little girl with no pants are priceless. Also, I did not do the exact same thing last week as you did with the milk. Sorry but I am laughing...because I can totally relate.
