"There were four in the bed, and the little one said, 'Roll over!' "

It's no surprise when we wake up the morning, there is at least one extra little person lying beside us, stealing the covers, or kicking them off! Last night, the familiar little person; aka, Emily, arrived about 1am. She crawled up in her usual spot and started the zzzzzz's. Later, about 3am, the other little person; aka, Alex, arrived and climbed over Emily and me and found his niche right between Dan and I. I know a lot of people don't agree with allowing your children to sleep in the same bed, but I feel that they will only be little once, and are sure to outgrow this. Although, Emily likes to bring all of her belongings with her, and truly makes it hers! Her blankie, her teddy, her special pillow, and her bottle of water for beside the bed. Alex rarely comes to our bed, but last night, he must have felt left out! So, as the song goes, "There were four in the bed, and the little one said, 'Roll over....roll over', so they all rolled over and one fell out." In this case, they all rolled over, and one got squished, poked, kicked and elbowed! That one, being me! But I love them, and am willing to compromise some sleep for a little bit longer while they are little!
