Happy {Fall}idays!

This weekend just screamed Fall...and I loved it so much!
Since I've been a little behind this year with Fall-ifying the house...I finally put out a little holiday cheer scare!

{well...Alex still claims that our house isn't nearly scary enough...but this is the best I got!  I know...it's the same as last year...but always fun!}

It just makes it feel so festive!  Maybe I can find something scary to add to it...but Alex has some spooky music to play on Halloween night!  Can't wait!

Saturday my mom and sister came to visit and we always have a lot of fun with Gram, Aunt Nicole and Hunter!

It was a gorgeous...chilly...day on Saturday to go to the pumpkin patch and pick out pumpkins and play games!

...and even catch a few zzz's depending on who you ask!

{I just love this picture because Alex just looked so grown up for a second standing there next to Ellie...sleeping...and talking to Grammy...why does it have to go so fast?}

But still not too big to enjoy a hay ride to the pumpkin patch!

Everyone found a pumpkin pretty quickly...

...but Emily took so long to find just the right one...

{no...not that one!}

{...hurry Emily...here comes our ride!}

Alex even had time to pick this too...a banana squash!
He was thrilled!

{finally...Emily is ready to get back on the wagon...whew!}

I love going to the pumpkin patch...it really kicks off the Fall season!

It was a great day with family...and I think Ellie had a fun first trip to the pumkin patch!

...this was my last attempt at a group picture...ha!  It was definitely time to end the fun here and take it to Chili's...yum!

I say it so many times...but we are so lucky to live so close to our family...yet, we don't always find enough time to spend together...so we cherish the times we do!

{Ellie was ready to stand up and cheer!}

Sunday was another beautiful Fall day...and we took full advantage of a day of rest {...in our new suite...Dan painted our bedroom and we finally rearranged it after it being the same for eight years!}
...but ended it with our evening family walk.  We pass this huge hill every time...and I finally let the kids roll down it the other day...and now they can't wait to get there every evening!

{I couldn't resist a hike to the top...but I did not roll my way back down!}

Ellie and Dan were just fine waiting by the road!

A great way to end the weekend...

...always a great way to end the day!  I love how the sun shines through the trees at this time of day!

Happy Fall!  May we take the time to enjoy all this season has to offer!

  5. I am so excited for FALL! But it seems that I am always excited for that next season no matter what it is. I finally did some decorating of my own today. I kept putting it off because of the water damage and following repairs but decided that I really wanted all the decorations up. The kids love them! I love the cooler weather too, though it will be warming up down here into shorts weather again this week. I so want the cool weather! And as always I love all the pictures you shared! Miss you my friend. I hope your birthday was a Happy one as well!!!
