Pajama days

I often look forward to Tuesdays these days because it has become a pajama day for me and Emily. There's a lot of comfort in staying in your pj's and just relaxing, not being rushed to go out the door and moving at our own pace. We get Alex off to school and sometimes just snuggle back in bed and watch a little tv. Then I will do the usual household chores, and she will play quietly or follow me around. One of her favorite things to do right now is paint her fingernails and put on my makeup. I remember doing that as a kid, too and sneaking into my mom's makeup because she wouldn't let me wear it! Sometimes I tell Emily she can wear a little bit, but if she has school, then the answer is no. Today she wanted to paint her nails in a pattern and, of course I got the camera out!

She said, "Why do you always take pictures of everything?" I guess I just want to remember these little moments. I hope that she will look back, too and say, "I remember staying in our pajamas and having fun!"
I also asked her if she was wearing lipstick. She said, "How did you know?" "Just a guess!"
