But I didn't want to forget to post about our last fun day on Monday before school started {that seems like ages ago already!}
We had a few last-minute school shopping errands to run...and then it was kids' choice...so we ended up here!
Bowling alleys are just a little bit icky...in my opinion...but we still have alot of fun! {it just smells like smoke when you walk in and the shoes... and sticking your hand in the bowling balls... bleh!}
But I did play one game {and won ...um... thanks to the bumpers ...ahem...} and Alex and Emily played three games...
Alex got one strike!
Emily didn't get any strikes this time...
...but she had a great style of throwing the ball anyway!
It was a fun way to celebrate the end of the summer...as we try and get into our new groove with school...
...it's a bittersweet transition, that's for sure! But it will go just as fast as the summer did!
What fun! My boys begged to go bowling all summer and we never made it! Maybe that will be a good winter activity.
ReplyDeleteBefore we know it we'll be talking about Christmas break and then out for the summer!!! I am SO with you about bowling so I'm so proud of you for taking them. Rondell loves bowling so that's what he does with the kids. Great reports for the kids...WAY TO GO!!!

ReplyDeleteWE love bowling too. We go at least once a summer :) more if we can talk the oldest into it. Ha. They are dirty when you really think about it, but I try not too. LOL You all had a great summer. Hope they have a great school year too.
