{Sunshine} on a Rainy Day

I always get the itch about this same time every year...it's been cold and gloomy and I'm ready for a change.

That change usually comes in the form of pillows and paint around here!

I initially had big plans in my mind to find some fun fabric and burlap to make my own pillows...but after going to Target...I decided I loved these big yellow flower pillows...{but I still would like to make some...some day!  Maybe when I get my next itch!}

I love yellow!   It makes everything {sunny} and cheery!

And the two big tan burlap-y like ones {like my description?!} were on clearance for $6 each!  Sold!

And they're super soft for snuggling!

The next thing I did to lighten up the room was to spray paint the lamps a glossy creme color...

I don't have a before picture because I couldn't wait to get them painted...but they were a warm orange-y color before...which I liked too when the room was in warmer colors...but I really love the newer crisper white!

I have an obsession with pillows that makes Dan cringe...ha!  But it's so easy to change in a room...over and over...and over again...ahem...

And the other reason for a bright {sunny} update...besides the crummy weather...was this beaut I found at TJ Maxx...

I have a hard time passing up unique furniture too...and every time I think there is no room for anything else...I will find a spot for it!  So this fun little chair has a new home in the corner of the living room...

Snowball had no problem with taking immediate ownership of it!

I also found three little framed bird pictures at the Maxx that I decided to add to my never-ending photo collage...

...do you think I can add any more to this wall?!

...or to the room...

...I'm sure I most definitely can find something else!

{ps...does anyone know what I'm watching on tv?  I'll give you a clue...Stefano Dimera...ha!}
