This is it...it's officially the last free week of Summer before school...
I haven't been present much...but we've been pretty busy...
...we've been doing lots of prepping...
...prepping for an end of Summer pool party with our MOPS group...
Emily is always thrilled to have people over...she is the social butterfly in our family...so when we had a spontaneous pool party with my favorite MOPS group...she had to look glamorous!
Unfortunately...these are the only pictures I got. I even had my camera out and ready...but once people started to arrive...we just swam and tried to cool off...the temps have been over 100 degrees with the heat index! Then the only storm of the Summer decided to blow in that afternoon...ending our party much sooner than we wanted, but we had lots of fun!
...we've also been busy prepping for our new laundry space...
...Whiskers has decided that since I no longer fit into my skinny jeans {did I ever?} they make a nice little place to nap!
We've been busy prepping for the move of our washer and dryer from the teeny-tiny space off the teeny-tiny bathroom downstairs into our master closet upstairs...{yay!}...and have organized the clothes on more shelving to get them up off the floor and put away {hallelujah!}
We still have lots of organizing to do to make it more functional, but I love having the washer and dryer right there where all the clothes already are...and not making myself into a pretzel anymore trying to fit through those narrow doorways with an armload of clothes!
...Emily's been busy prepping for gymnastics...
She's so excited to start gymnastics again! I know she's much too young for make-up...but it does make me happy when she wants to be in the bathroom with me getting ready...and I think it's sweet that she wants to look like me {she will be completely appalled by this before too long!} and I love having this little bonding time together...
...there's so much more to prep for...
...our only plans for this last day of the week before school begins are swimming with more friends...while Alex goes to work with Dan {he loves going there...and I'm sure Dan loves this time together too!} and then a sleepover with Grandma...
...I'm not quite ready for school to begin just yet. My babies are just getting too big too fast!
...at least we still have the weekends!
OmGosh Carrie...I did not expect that last picture with the missing tooth. I laughed out loud because I almost forgot that she had lost it. Too cute.

I hate the last week of summer. Bitter sweet for sure.

Sweet time with your sweetie is priceless time...so glad she likes to hang with you. Yeah to the laundry move! I wish ours wasn't in the basement because it really does take my joy of washing away. We only have one more full week and then it's back to the grind. Jamison can't wait to go back.
