He did such a great job...especially since it was near 90 degrees this time...so sticky hot! His team missed four games this season because of all the rain we've had...so if we're able to make those up...he'll still get a chance to play again. But...it's been a good season...and we're happy that it's over! {Now he's ready to play tennis!}

Following the game...we headed home before another storm blew in. For the last three nights in a row...there have been severe thunderstorms. These pictures don't really show...but one minute it's light outside...then the dark clouds roll in and the wind picks up and lightning strikes!
...just seconds before Alex and Emily were out catching fireflies! But I do love a good storm at night...as long as it doesn't cause any damage!
Way to go Alex!!! Cute ball pictures... looks like you have a little athlete on your hands Mom! Hope yall are able to enjoy the pool today!

ReplyDeleteAww, I love baseball season. The kids have a great time, and I get my adult interaction as well. I don't miss the running 3 times a week, though! Have a wonderful day!

ReplyDeleteWe had a storm last night, too. The Hubster and I sat on the front porch swing while the heat lightning flashed and the thunder rumbled. You could SMELL the rain coming! I love that! :)
Great season Alex! We love baseball season here too but it is always a relief when it's over! Love the fence effect on your pics! And I am not a fan of storms...never have liked them! Bring on tennis!

ReplyDeleteHow are you handling the heat with your pregnancy? The temps here have only gotten above 75 on a few occasions, and I find that even with that much heat I can only sit outside in the sun for VERY small periods of time. We are heading to NC and SC in just over 2 weeks, and I'm not sure if I will even be able to come out from under the air conditioning while I am there! Most of the time will be spent at our beach house, so there will hopefully be some ocean breezes and of course the water itself to cool off in. But I'm still worried about how I will be able to enjoy just being outside and playing in the heat... it has been near or over 100 the last few days there!
