Really...I don't know where the weekends go...or each day for that matter. I think maybe I slept...but each day runs into the next! But it's all for fun...fun on the run!
Saturday I took Emily to ice-skating practice...her Ice Show is coming up...and she's getting so excited to get her outfit! Ha!
But first a few with Miss Animal Lover with as Many Clips as She Can Get in Her Hair before we head out...
{It was not super cold in the ice rink! Emily's lips were not blue...and my toes were not popsicles...brrr!}
{Ha...I love the girl in her soccer uniform behind Emily! Guess I'm not the only one running around town too!}
{I love how the girls are facing in all directions...or not doing anything at all! I wonder if they'll be ready in just two weeks! Ha! But they sure are so cute...and so fun to watch...it cracks me up!}
{Alex did not have fun trying to blow the biggest bubble while waiting for those chips...}
{...and we did not stop and smell the flowers pinwheels...and run free at Hobby Lobby for a little bit long time! And...Emily is absolutely not wearing socks with her flip flops...geez...she has better fashion sense than that!}
{...and Alex is not dressed like a construction cone...who's kids are these, anyway? I do not love shopping at Hobby Lobby...but we always end up with something we do not need...really...like this wall cling Alex picked out...good grief...doesn't everyone need one of those?}
Okay...time to go home...I have to use the potty so bad from all the sweet tea I drank at Chili's...and I was not lazy enough to wait until we got home instead of walk all the way to the back of the store...ahem...but did we stay home...
...of course not! We had to stop at the school playground and run off that never-ending supply of energy...
...and to find Emily's twin!
{Can you hear me now?}
Sunday was pretty low-key...Sunday School in the morning...and then I went to help the preschool board set up for a fundraiser...while the kids ran wild at the neighbors! {We have some great neighbors...and so many kids to play with!}
The pictures don't do any justice...but it looked fabulous! One of my sweet friends on the board and her husband, a chef, own a cute little bistro in town and they closed the restaurant to host a fundraiser for the preschool...they sold every seat! I had so much fun pretending to know what I was doing setting the tables! It almost makes me want to throw a fancy party...almost!
Another busy week ahead...summer is calling! Hope you had a great weekend too! The weather couldn't have been better!
Happy Monday!
Is it Friday, yet? ...sigh...
I feel the same way...is it Friday yet?! What a fun and busy weekend you had! Love the pics from Hobby Lobby...that is my new favorite store thanks to Mimi!! And flip flops and socks totally made me laugh out loud! Hope your week flies by so you can enjoy another weekend!
ReplyDeleteBusy weekend, but sure looks like it was FUN! :) Cute ice show, too!
ReplyDeleteI wanna come play! This weekend was just beautiful and I tried to enjoy each moment (even though I did sneak in a nap on Saturday). I {heart} Hobby Lobby and also leave often with things I didn't plan for. I love the Emily had a twin...too funny. So, when does the pool open?
ReplyDeleteWow you all were on a roll...no wonder you missed a few days of blogging. Love the ice pictures. We just went to an ice show a few weeks ago and loved it. Good luck to Em. I know she will do well.
ReplyDeleteWe love Hobby Lobby too. So fun. You really did find Emily's twin. Too cute.
What a fun post! Chili's is our favorite restaurant mostly because of the chips & salsa....mmmmm! : )
ReplyDeleteLove the socks & flip-flops and the smelling of the pinwheels! Too cute. Your kids are precious. Sounds like a great, great weekend! : )
Stopping to smell the pinwheels is absolutely precious!
ReplyDeleteI'm stopping in at Mimi's request to check out your photos. I'm going to be buying a DSLR soon and am leaning towards the Nikon D5000 and she said that is what you use. So if you check out your stats and see a stalker looking at a gazillon pages and enlarging your photos, don't worry. It's just me. OK, you can worry since you don't know me. But really, I'm not some psycho cyber-stalker.
What is your favorite thing about the camera and least favorite thing? I'm wanting really good sports shots. How do you feel it does in this department?
OK, now I'm asking a lot of you on my first visit to your blog. Sorry!
Holy busy weekend. I would have much rather had your weekend than the one we ended up having. I have only been to Hobby Lobby once in my life (we don't have one close by) but I know exactly what you mean about being able to spend hours there and walk out with stoff you really didn't need. You got some really great pictures of the kids at the park too! Hope you have an awesome week, Carrie!
ReplyDeleteCarrie, If you decide to throw that fancy party I'll be more than happy to come!! You and the kids had a great weekend. I love the wall cling! I look forward to seeing more pictures of Emily's Ice Show.
