Time to join Pam and share the moments we're going to miss one day...because life is so short! Sometimes it's hard to find those moments among our busy schedules, but that's what I love about participating in this...it makes me stop and think about it and appreciate them so much more!
Alex made sure that I knew all day long on Valentine's Day that I was his Valentine...and he was so sweet! He hugged me all day long...helped me around the house...and asked me if there was anything I needed! I couldn't have wished for a better Valentine in the world! {except Dan, too, of coure! ...wink...} I'll miss that one day when he's older and will find other Valentine's besides his Mom...boohoo!
I'll also miss these too cute little concerts that he performs in at school! Oh my goodness...this age is so sweet! There was a time {not that long ago} when he wouldn't sing or join in with his class during these musicals...and although he was as cute as a button...it didn't make for very good video when he just stood there and stared out in the crowd! This afternoon, Emily and I went to watch the first graders put on a little Valentine concert for the families... {belated because of all the snow days...and maybe even more to come...ugh!}

Emily and I waited in the Commons area until the show...

They sang three songs and performed three times. It was so cute...Emily and I stayed for an encore! I loved all the lollipops the kids made for Candy Man ...sigh... It was just so darn cute!
How cute!!! I love how little boys love on their Mommas.... then they grow up and don't want to . Last night we were at Annalee's softball practice and we were sitting on the bleachers freezing. I asked Josh if I could snuggle with him and he said "to late Mom!" Boo hoo... I don't think that would have embarrased him in front of his friends, do you? I mean really, his Mom was freezing! Oh well, teenagers. He does give me love at home, where none of his friends can see it... but at least I get love!
ReplyDeletebyw... I tried to watch the video and it would not open.... I will try later. :)
Alex is so sweet! I love his lollipop:) My kids are just now starting to participate too! For the longest time, anytime we had a performace at church the would just stand there and stare out into the crowd!
ReplyDeleteI love the little shows!!! I'm going to miss this time as well.
ReplyDeletei just clicked to see the sweet video and it says it is private. Boo hoo. Cute pictures. I love seeing the kids perform. My kids will be doing their concert next week. Actress has a solo and Model has a dance routine:) Should be interesting.
ReplyDeleteI just watched Alex... tooo cute :)
ReplyDeleteToo cute. It worked! They did a great job. My girls came running when they heard the song because they were both in Willy Wonka last year. LOL
ReplyDeleteYou totally made me say, "I'm gonna miss that too!"
ReplyDeleteGREAT pictures... just amazing!! You should have your own business. :)
So sweet! Mimi posted about the same thing today on Your Gonna Miss This too! I am too, although with 2 boys getting to that age, they are almost done with it! They made their valentine's this year themselves too! And of course I didn't get any pics of it!! Cute lollipop props!
ReplyDeleteI love the mamarazi comment...and he looks like he is seriously dodging you!! HA!
ReplyDeleteLayla and Emily would be two peas in a pod...she is a huge cat lover and would totally put stickers on her forehead too!
