Ah...Monday...I'm actually not happy for this usually dreaded day! There's almost no snow on the ground...and the kids will not be getting back to school on a normal schedule once again! Whew! Can I please not have the house back again and get some order! {although I have not loved having them home and being super
I did not send Emily to church in this Pippi Longstocking get-up...and Dan was not even a little embarrassed to allow her out of the house like that...even though he wasn't even going to be there...
{this is how she did not respond to that...}
{I did not respond with..."That's just Emily...I think people know that by now!"}
After church {and a cat nap} we did not get together with the whole family to help celebrate Great-Grandma Martha's 93rd birthday! She is not the most amazing woman in charge of such an awesome family...I do not want to grow up and be just like her someday!
I did not finally get my hands on this little cutie! {look at those big eyes!}
Family is not the best!
{the super sweet E's...Emma & Emily}
{Alex and Grandpa talking basketball..and that is root beer Alex is drinking!}
{the boys talking business...or electronics...or sports...}
{Alex checking out the cake}
{silly faces}
{Emily & Alex with Grandma}
Alex was not a super sweet helper...getting gifts...serving the cookies and cake...and helping with clean up!
It was not a wonderful party with family! {I love birthdays!} If this family gets any bigger...there will not be a place to hold all of us to get together much more...although, I have a feeling we'll find a place! We are not so blessed to have a big family!
Dan is not still truckin' on the basement...and the ceiling's almost done! {when can we move in? ...sigh... slow and steady wins the race, I guess...}
And...I did not get some fun mail...thanks to Tiffany! She makes the best pillows! She made this pillow for Craft Hope...and I'm not so happy to see it's cute, cheery pear-ness in our kitchen...
{...and it's Snowball-approved!}
What did you not do this week...sleep with a pile of unfolded laundry on your bed...wake up to a sink full of dirty dishes and a tornado of Barbies and Hot Wheels on your family room floor...or hang out with your awesome family and eat too much pizza and cake...me either...Not me!
Be sure to head over to MckMama's to read what she and so many others have not been doing this week, too!
What a great day with family. I can't believe Dan's granny is 93 yrs young! She looks great and is so lucky to have her family surround her. My granny would have been 90 this coming March 5th. I miss her a ton. Do you think Dan's granny would adopt me? Ha!!
ReplyDeleteThe basement is looking so great. Can't wait to see it in person.
BTW... love your hair!
Love those pillows and your basement is going to be amazing. I love Emily's tights...so cute. Happy Birthday to your grandma...she is adorable.
ReplyDeleteI think Emily looks adorable in those tights:) And you hair looks cute...I can't believe you color it yourself! I am so scared that I am going to end up with either green hair or no hair if I try to color my own! The ceiling in the basement looks awesome! I love the tile look:)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great family celebration! :) I love those times, too. And Emily's little Pippi get-up is adorable! She looks like a doll baby. :)
ReplyDeleteI love Emily's outfit :) Happy Birthday to Grandma.... how neat to have such a big family! Tha basement looks awesome! love the ceiling and I love the new hair color!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great weekend and I think Em's outfit is priceless!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun time and you captured some great memories!! Loving the Snowball approval on the pillow...HA!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason Emily's picture is not coming up right now. I will have to check back later. But I as sure she is as cute as ever.
ReplyDeleteWOW! Dan's grandmother looks too young to be 93. I sure hope that I look that good and am as active when I get older.
The basement is looking great. And I know it will look even better as soon as you add your decorating flair to it.
Glad the kids were able to go back to school today. I bet the kids are kinda glad too.
Did you type that right...93??? She is amazing! There is nothing like celebrating a wonderful woman and spending great time with family. Holding a cute baby isn't 1/2 bad either. I love the pillow (she does make cute pillow doesn't she?). Dan is really coming along with the basement and I LOVE Emily's outfit...love it!
ReplyDeleteWow, Great Grandma Martha looks awesome for 93 years old! What a fun event to get family together for. And your basement is looking great. Your hubby sure is a handy man!
