So what is in there?
- empty McDonalds cups which earlier satisfied my thirst for medium caramel iced McCafes & large Diet Cokes multiplied by 4 cup holders
- old Happy Meal boxes with left-over french fries & chicken nuggets
- Happy Meal toys which randomly make a noise when stepped on
- straw wrappers
- Little Mermaid hairbrush
- lip gloss
- headbands and several tiny hair clips & bows {Emily rarely lets me fix her hair, but somehow these items have made their way into the car and into hard to reach spaces!}
- clay spider made by Alex in art class
- approximately 4 to 5 pairs of tennis shoes, rubber boots, flip-flops and sparkly slip-ons
- a baseball bat {clanging sound}, glove, cap and dirty socks
- two tennis racquets
- two Leapsters and several small game cartridges
- all the contents of Emily's school bag plus all the glitter that didn't stick to her papers
- a box of crackers {some crackers tried to escape for their life!}
- Skittles, jelly beans, rocks, acorns {Alex used to collect acorns at playtime outside when he was in preschool last year...and I still keep finding them under the seats!}
- 3 days worth of mail & newspapers {I am not current with current events!}
- crayons and coloring books
- and even room for some precious cargo!

So, what's
Oh, do I ever know what you're talking about. My car was a HUGE mess until I went on vacation last week and my hubby cleaned it from top to bottom while I was gone. Books, papers, baggies of cheerios, half eaten apples. Receipts and hair bows. Stuffed animals. It was awful! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, dear, I'm a little afraid to look...
ReplyDeleteSomething smells kind of funny and I haven't been able to find it yet!! LOL. I'm not sure what I will find!!!
I know what you are talking about. What is really bad is the fact that the kids told me the car was a mess and I needed to clean it out!! You know if your kids tell you to clean it out it must be bad.
ReplyDeleteYour list sounds like what I just pulled out of my car. I couldn't take it anymore and when I got to Bible Study a little early I cleaned out my car right there in the parking lot...shoes, goldfish, napkins, old wipes, cups, water bottles, clothes...madness!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, the JUNK that piles up in my car has NOT gotten better with the age of my children. Right now, the three at home still range from 9 to 17 and my car smells like stinky teenagers, the coke cans, McDonald's cups, papers, and toys still overflow it. I hit a bump the other day and heard something go WHACK! What the heck is in my car that makes that sound as it flies UP and then back down? Someday I will have a clean house and a clean car. But til then, I shall enjoy my kiddos messes... for someday, I think I'll miss it all!
ReplyDeleteThose pictures are precious! I would have to say that when my kids where younger my car was the same way!! you never knew what you might find growing in it! I can remember being in car line and my son's teacher opening the door and stuff falling out.... how embarrasing for the teacher to have to pick up and put back something that should be in the trash.... and it came out of your car!!!!!! Since getting our new van, and my kids are older.... it has stayed pretty clean. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteToo funny! I love the part about the glitter that didn't stick to the paper...don't you hate that! I have to say that I am pretty good at keeping the car cleaned up, so right now there are only a few things in it! A few candy wrappers, two Parenting magazines, some random rocks, and a few baby toys!
ReplyDeleteGreat post...I can so relate! So much so that if you're okay with it, I think I know what my post is for tonight! And I'll make sure to give credit where credit is due...what do you think?
ReplyDeleteAnd that is some seriously cute cargo!
I am so scared of what is underneath my car seats...probably lots of missing lip gloss, hair bands, and empty water bottles! :)
ReplyDeleteI like this post a lot- refreshing to see such honesty and to know I am not alone. It is scary and funny to see what I can find in the car. Mostly, scary, though. My car really needs to be cleaned out.
ReplyDeleteIt is Food Allergy Awareness Week. Read my latest allergy post: Thursday Thanks Tank: Allergy Thankfulness
With four kids TRUST ME you do not want to know!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe copy cat has struck! Thanks for letting me steal your idea!
ReplyDeleteYeah...I am not touching this post with a ten foot pole. I would lose followers if I posted my van pictures. Let's just say it is a total mom van. Yuck. I try, but I am totally outnumbered. Darn.
ReplyDeleteOver from Life in the Carpool Lane and I am LOL because I posted this SAME thing the other day as I had to empty out the contents out of the minivan to give back to the dealer as it was the end of the lease. Glad my minivan days are behind me... I was hoping that since there are fewer nooks and crannies in an SUV that perhaps less crud would accumulate there... guess you proved me wrong!
ReplyDeleteHow about a What's in Your Fridge next??!!! ;)
ReplyDeleteTrust me, you don't want to know. I am going to be doing a post pretty soon on what's in my buldging purse....soon as I can take a picture.
ReplyDeleteI don't wanna know!
ReplyDeleteIn June Org Junkie says to organize the vehicles. I'm waiting until then!
Love the music@! We listen to the same stuff!
