Whistle While you Whatever...

Emily has been able to whistle for a long time, and always tells people we meet, or even already know, that she can whistle and is very proud to show them how! Even when she's talking, she will whistle somewhere in her response. "Did you know, mommy, {whistle} that today is {whistle} Sunday? {whistle}" Sometimes it makes me laugh, and I think it's super cute...but there are times that I just can't take it any more and tell her to please stop whistling! Here is a short version of this...
{She is setting the table for dinner, placing a paper flower that she made at my seat. Alex made the place settings, and each family member has their name on one side and the word DONE on the other. When we're done eating, we're supposed to flip it over! This seems to make it more fun to eat, because the kids get to place the names wherever they choose, so it's always different!}

It mostly brings a smile to my face, though, because no matter where in the house she is, I can always hear her whistle. Makes it a little hard to be mad or grumpy when you're whistling! So, take it from Emily, whistle while you work, eat, talk, walk, do the chores, or whatever!

  2. There's another thing the two girls have in common. Abby loves to whistle too. She also likes to wink. Thanks for sharing.
