Today, after MONTHS and MONTHS of begging me relentlessly, I finally took the kids to the local children's museum in our town. It had been a long time since we had been, and now that Emily is five, I thought she could climb the rock wall! She was so excited! Turns out, not only do you need to be at least 5-years-old, you need to be at least 44 inches, too! Bummer. Emily is only about 39 inches! She is 'sweet and petite', and may not get to climb it until next year. But, she was not that upset... especially when there's a GIANT toilet to slide down!

Meanwhile, Alex had a blast climbing the rock wall! He had tried it a year or so ago, and could not make it to the top, but today, he was like Spiderman! He made it to the top 4 times, and was able to ring the bell 3 times! Go Alex!

They also loved creating masterpieces by melting crayons...SO FUN!
We had a GREAT afternoon and didn't leave without watering the garden...
...and shooting a few hoops...
but about 3 hours later, it was time to go. When we got in the car, they asked...
"Can we come back tomorrow?"
How fun...some of those things our museum had, but wow that giant toliet...we only have a giant chair. What a blast. Great pictures, they all look like they had a great time.

ReplyDeleteWow. I have never ever seen a giant toilet before. My boys would have love it....in fact they still probably would, lol! I miss those days of taking the kids to the children's museum. No wonder they can't wait to go back!
