A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

Today was a gorgeous day, with a beautiful blue sky and lots of sunshine! I love the trees that line the entrance to our neighborhood and how they change with the seasons {see previous post}. I couldn't pass up the chance to take some pictures of the kids while the trees were still in bloom and I can usually get Emily on board for a photo op if I let her have some of the control! She picked out what dress she wanted to wear and put on her 'fancy' shoes and hopped on her two-wheeler and led the way! And Alex, of course took the wheel of his John Deere and followed suit!

The weather was actually on the chilly side, about 50 degrees, but the kids humored me, and I think I was able to capture some really cute shots. I just never know what I'm going to get with Emily. She can be a total model, or she will completely hide her face and run away. But, today she was the sunshine, dressed in her yellow dress {as she stated to me}!

I hope that they will truly cherish the photos I have some day. When I say, "Hey, let's just go take a few pictures." I don't realize that a few actually means about a hundred! Thanks Alex & Emily for the chance to capture your innocence, youth and energy! It means the world to me! You are my Sunshine!
