After Alex and Emily took great care and planning with the fort building...they furnished the inside with their blankets, sleeping bags, pillows and other favorite things...and they all headed outside to have some fun in the snow!

It was a fun, unexpected day home from school...and a great surprise to start our holiday break early!
After playing outside, the kids came inside and had lunch and hot chocolate in the fort and watched tv! It was nice to have a day for fun and some relaxation before Christmas...
...but we also had a lot of things to do to get ready for our trip to Colorado!

Even though we had 'plenty' of snow on our Utah/CO trip we still are a bit sad we missed the blizzard (ha!) here in Indy. Hope we get another one this year!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize Skipper was 14. Good dog to stay in your yard except for when the UPS man comes. I wish Hersh was just as good... in time. ;)
Such a fun snow day you all had. Sweet pictures. Alex's face as he's going down the hill on his belly!! I especially love that Ellie loved it and what a sweet big sis Emily is.
You guys have such cool fun! My kids were over the moon about the snow too...me, not so much. Hopefully for all of the kiddoes we'll get more snow before the season is over.
ReplyDeleteAll that snow is so pretty! It looks like everybody had a blast playing in it too! We were hoping for a few flurries this morning, but it didn't get quite cold enough!
