First we tried to fool Dan by rigging the kitchen sprayer when he washed his hands...but the kids couldn't contain their anxiety and he knew something was up...fail!
Then we decided it would be a GREAT idea to empty out all of Dan's dresser drawers while he was out this afternoon...but since he was already dressed for the day and never went to get anything from his dresser during the whole day, I eventually told him so he wasn't getting ready for work tomorrow morning and waking me up asking where all his clothes and underwear were...fail! {But he did say that was a GOOD one!}
Alex and I {sorta} got Emily by putting a ziploc baggie over the shower head and hiding her favorite stuffed bear in the bathtub when it was her turn to take a bath...she did find Beary before he got wet and said the baggie fell on her head when she turned the shower on! heehee!
Then Emily wanted to get Alex back so before it was his turn to take a shower, we turned the shower head out to spray him when he turned the water on, but he saw it was turned {stinker}...fail.
Last chance...Emily headed up to bed before Alex and hid behind his bed, and as I was tucking him in she popped out and said "April Fools!" He acted like he knew and that it was no big deal, but he was surprised! Gotcha!
The weather played a little trick on us too. We woke up to rain, thunder and gloom...but it eventually turned into a beautiful sunny warm afternoon...
...perfect for a bike ride to the little park and lake down the street and around the corner...
...hauling these two sweeties behind me!
It was a fun day full of surprises...
...and these three never fail to amaze me!
I'm sure you guys still got some good laughs at all of your attempts...how fun! Those are great pictures of the kids out and about on a beautiful day :) I'm ready for summer!
ReplyDeleteYou did better than us! I completely forgot that it was April Fool's Day until about 4pm! We managed to convince Reagan that a racoon was floating in our hot tub just as she was getting ready to open the lid to get in for a quick dip, but that was all we pulled off for the entire day!
