Why So Blue? {...and Yellow... and Pink...}

I am loving this turquoise {blue} color right now in little places around the house...

...so when I saw this pillow...I had to have it...{big puffy heart} had to have it!

{but if you know that I posted on facebook that I'm trying to save money and stay away from Target and stuff...then just ignore this part...Target is sinful!}

I also added some {blue} to the boudoir...

Dan's only decorating request was a picture of the beautiful {blue} colors of the pool and ocean where we stayed in Cancun a couple summers ago...so I got him this canvas for Christmas...

...but decided that it would also be nice to have the gorgeous {blue} and white backdrop of Colorado from a couple holidays ago too...

They are so tranquil to look at while I'm drifting off to sleep getting up to quiet Ellie in the middle of the night... { ...yawn... }

...and another pop of fun{blue} in the already {blue} dining room...

{lamp and shade from...where else? ...sinful, I tell you!}

One of these days we would really just like to get rid of the dining room altogether and turn it into a workspace/office since it's only used maybe twice a year...or when Alex is having trouble choking savoring one of my delicious dinners and is sent here to finish on his own...or when Ellie hangs out under the table with the cats...

...so until that day...it's still nice to have something pretty and {blue} to look at when we pass through!

Alex is just about to wrap up  his basketball season...and it is always fun to watch him get better each year!  The Cougars have only won two games this year...and it seems each time has been when they wore their {yellow} jerseys!

Alex hustled after the ball and played awesome defense!  We are so proud of his efforts and even though it has made our Tuesday nights a little chaotic...we are a tiny bit sad for it to end.

Elizabeth gets a little {blue} sometimes too during the games being confined to her stroller...and when her big sis is teasing her!

Somebody got new {pink} kicks!  She's been walking around everywhere for the last month...but every time I tried to put shoes on her, she would curl up her toes, and when I would finally get the shoes on...she would not stand up and start crawling as if the shoes weighed her down!

...until now...

...she's figured these {pink} sneaks out...and took off!

Every morning...I have to pry my eyelids open to get the kids ready for school {or mostly they are telling me to get up after they've already had breakfast and got dressed!}...but every morning I'm so fortunate to have three reasons to get up...and see two of them off to school...and get to witness beautiful {pink} sunrises in the process...

And it's hard to be {blue} after a long day at school and all you want to do is bicker with your bro/sis over a Dum Dum wrapper...or something...

...when there are yummy {yellow} lemon cookies to bake!

{I  might be feeling blue if somebody doesn't take these away from me!}
