Rocky Mountain {High}

With our luggage piled high...

...toys, games, snacks...gloves, hats, socks, long undies...boots, jackets, snow pants...diapers, baby food, baby wipes...jammies, robes, toothbrushes...

...I think we got it all!  We were on our way to Vail Christmas day!

I've always been a little nervous about flying...but once we take off...I love looking out and being high above the clouds!  It's always an amazing view!

And the views were even better once we arrived in Vail!
The hotel is nestled in the mountains...and it's so pretty to look out and see the houses, chair lift, bubbling creek and the mountains in the distance...

There was always a place to sit and enjoy the view...this was just outside our room...

...and a cozy fire to warm up in the lobby...

We arrived late Christmas evening in the dark, so it was fun to see the mountains when we woke up in the morning.  We didn't have any plans the first day except to go out and enjoy the views!

Emily was ready to ski...but we will save that for tomorrow!

Colorado is so beautiful...I could almost live there!  It literally took my breath away...really, I had a little trouble breathing on the mountain during the skiing lessons...but then again, I could have been hyperventilating because I was terrified...  either way...

So for now...we will cherish our visits there!
