Just wanted to share this verse since it seems to fit no matter what battles we are fighting!
We are thinking and praying hard right now for family members who are battling cancer...loved ones who are worrying...friends who have lost loved ones unexpectedly...and even smaller battles that we fight on a daily basis...sibling rivalry {who gets to sit by mom, who gets the middle chair at the kitchen island...}, time limits...how am I going to get all of this done...how am I going to be in two places at once...and have dinner, homework and quality time with the family...and sleep?!
It's nice to reflect on this verse in order to slow down and realize...we can't do it all...we can't control certain things that happen to us or our loved ones...but we can give it all to the Lord and know that He will take care of us!
I chose this picture of our trip to Colorado on our dog sled tour because it was a moment in the woods when I've never heard it so quiet! I even commented out loud at how peaceful and utterly quiet it was! I wish I could bottle it up...and let it out when Elizabeth is crying, the kids are bickering, my mind is racing, my anxiety takes over...to just sit and be surrounded by that quiet! I'm so blessed to have this moment to remember because I will definitely go there during those times!
I still have several pictures to share from our trip...during our dogsled experience, the musher pointed out on some of the trees where a bear had climbed it leaving its claw marks behind! She also showed us and described all the little animal tracks in the snow...it was so interesting...and probably not always so quiet out there in the woods!
