{Happy} Home

Some of you might remember...we've been doing some home improvements and updates...and the big one being trying to finish this...before Dan's birthday...

Well...today is Dan's birthday!  Happy{35th}Birthday!

You did it! 

I know it doesn't look great...yet...but we now have new carpet and we are able to fully enjoy the space again...new furniture will just have to wait a bit while we catch up on our budget...ha!  Tomorrow night is officially our first movie night!  I hope to get the bookcase/cubbies cleaned up and start setting up the kids' playroom with the rest of their toys...but we're so proud of Dan for getting this accomplished {with a little help from us too!} all on his own!  What a wonderful present for the whole family!

We also moved the laundry room upstairs and made the old space the new place to dump shoes, backpacks and mail {I still have plans to clean and organize this space and make it pretty...eventually!}...but it gave this tiny little hallway a little more room to pass...a new coat of paint and a little less clutter...{you can see the before here}...

{I found the numbered plates at Target...and I love the look of them...and it also signifies that we'll be adding a little No.3 to our family soon!}

...it's a small improvement...but we're {happy} to start clearing the clutter and cleaning up our home!  Just in time for a new little one to take it all apart again!  Which means...our next project is to start getting the nursery ready!
