{Roll}er skates!
{Ready to head out on the floor!}
Alex had his field trip to the roller rink Wednesday morning...and he was a little unsure about going because this was his first time! I remember having so much fun as a kid roller skating! I'm not sure how I'd do these days...I didn't find out!
He was a little wobbly to start...but it didn't take much time to get his confidence!
All the kids were a hoot! Some of them were falling on purpose...and some of them sure had a few good tricks to show off! Alex had the best time...and his PE teacher was the one responsible for allowing all the kids this fun chance to roller skate! Talk about a hoot! He's an older, hilarious man who acts just like one of the kids! He teased Alex when he was fixing his skate by asking him which one was his girlfriend! Then he shouted out in the crowd, "Don't worry girls, he'll be out there in a second!" Ha! Alex told me he knows where he wants to have his birthday party this year! I did agree to skate if that happened...gulp...we'll see!

What a fun PE thing to do! I used to skate all the time and loved it. I'm looking forward to seeing those pictures of you out there next time :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE rollerskating! :) I hadn't been on skates in years when the kids were invited to a birthday party at the skating rink in town a couple of years ago. We went and I was brave enough to try it again and.....I HAD A BLAST!!! :) You'll be amazed at how quickly it comes back to you!
ReplyDeleteOh how fun! He looks like he's having a great time. I never mastered the art of roller skating. As an adult, I don't have any desire to try ;)

ReplyDeleteSounds like a blast! I too remember roller skating when I was younger and I always loved it. So fun! That would be awesome to have his b-day party there too :) And his teacher does sound like an absolute HOOT!!
