Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and so many others have not been doing this week!
It is not time for Christmas...there is still another week to celebrate Thanksgiving and give thanks for so many things around us...therefore...I would not, ever, never, have pumpkins on my front porch, "Give Thanks" signs or even cute little turkeys around the house...as well as a fully decorated Christmas tree in our sun room and stockings on the mantel! I always wait to celebrate one holiday before I get excited for the next! {Who does that? Not me!}
The kids did not insist on getting the tree up and decorated and have to twist my arm to say yes!
Emily cannot even believe it's that time of year, either! {But that truly did not stop her from practicing her ballet in front of the tree!}
This is not the first year since Dan and I have been married that we will not have a fresh-cut Christmas tree {frown} but since we are traveling over the holidays...we certainly did not want a dead tree plus lots of needles on the floor when we got back! {true!} But we love our little tree and are not so excited to have it up already!
Alex did not tell me that I might need another brain...because I cannot seem to remember anything {Boy, that's too true...what?}...and Emily absolutely did not follow up that comment with the reason I can't remember anything is because I have gray hair! {At least I have those two little cuties to help me remember things and tell me like it is...sigh...}
Have a marvelous Monday! {true!}
I love your pictures, it's like a I was there every time I read your blog. You should try publish.

ReplyDeleteEverything looks great at your house as usual. Miss you. I hope to get our tree up soon. I wonder if I can do a fresh one this year!!
ReplyDeleteYour house is so cozy and that means your good at making it feel that way.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Emily, I cannot believe it's that time of year already. I LOVE LOVE the Christmas season.
Your tree is so cute! But I can't believe you already have it up! We wait until at least after the first weekend in December to put ours up. But we get a real tree and if you put it up too early it will be dead before Christmas!?!
ReplyDeleteYour tree is absolutely gorgeous. could be right out of a magazine...ours goes up on Thanksgiving night...but there will be no pictures...not so pretty. LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous you have your tree up already! And it looks awesome!! Great pictures!
ReplyDeleteI love Emily's face! The tree is just beautiful and so sweet of you to give in. I know it was hard!

ReplyDeleteOh soo pretty! I love Christmas decorations...Emilys face always makes me smile!!! ;)
ReplyDeleteGoodness, I am SOOOO not in the mood for Christmas. #1 I can't afford it and #2... well, my house is all a mess due to construction so we can sell it. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are GORGEOUS though and actually did HELP me get into the spirit just a bit. I love the pics of Em dancing in front of the tree! So pretty.
Beautiful!!!! I can't wait to get ours up.
ReplyDeleteI always love reading your "Not Me's". You are so funny! I too have a strict rule to get through one holiday before decorating for the next (mostly because I am lazy and a procrastinator) because I think each holiday deserves it's own celebration. Way to go for being ahead of schedule. I commend you!
ReplyDeleteHilarious. Beautiful tree! Love how she is practicing her ballet in front of it. So sweet.
