Happy Monday...hope everyone had a great July 4th...because we did not! We did not get rained out...all day long...and just sit and watch the rain...all day long...bummer! We did not take advantage of our neighbor's fireworks and watch from the back door...in the rain!
July 5th...is not the new July 4th! We did not make up for the rain on Sunday so the kids could not enjoy sparklers, fireworks and catching fireflies!
We did not enjoy making s'mores {or s'mars, as Emily calls them!} in our backyard, either on Friday night...and if Emily is not wearing a swimsuit, you will not see her wearing pajamas instead!
We did not love having Grandma and Grandpa here to watch Dan and the kids set off the rockets they have been building for weeks!
We did not aim this missile straight for our neighbor's house...{luckily missing! Whew!}...and launching it right into the ground in their backyard! It did not explode into pieces! {Ooops!} The little one survived both launches, and Alex and Emily did not love blasting it off!
I also did not win these super cute hair accessories from Joye's giveaway a couple weeks ago! {Thanks so much Joye and SummerSuzette for these cute ponytail holders and clippies! Emily does not love the pink cheetah pattern! Adorable!}
We did not make a little nest with a plastic cup and Easter grass for this cute little egg Grandma & Emily found in the yard...
...let's hope it does not actually hatch!
And...I absolutely did not find rock-hard french fries in the back of the Yukon along with any other unidentified objects...not me...it's as clean as a whistle in there!
Nor, did I jump in the pool fully clothed and have a blast not doing so! Sometimes it's so fun not acting like one of the kids! Seriously, Not me!
Love all the pictures. We also did NOT get rained out and did not have to do our fireworks on the 5th too.

We had rain here too but it stopped just in time for the fireworks. The look on Caleb's face was priceless, but then my camera died...I did not say a few choice words right there in the church's parking lot. Looks like you guys still had a great time and I love the S'mores pictures.
ReplyDeleteSorry it rained on your 4th!! We got a little rain...but it has been so dry around here lately that everyone was glad that it was raining! And it gave us an excuse to come in from the pool and eat homemade blueberry pie and ice cream! YUM! Oh, and I NEVER find two week old french fries in my car either LOL!!

Would you believe I just put it on the ACTION setting??? Nothing special, nothing fancy. I have the Cannon 40D. Isn't that what you have, too?
ReplyDeleteAnyway, just the ACTION setting did great. It took it quick without trying to keep the shutter open to let in more light. PERFECT!
How fun! Great pictures. Sorry you got rained out but sounds like you made the most of it the next day!!!! wonderful memories!

Oh what fun!! Rain on the 4th is always a bummer...so glad you got to make up for it the next day.

ReplyDeleteI didn't even do a NOT ME post today. My mind was just 'blank' and I had nuthin! I only, only, only did fireworks. Guess I should go check my temperature. Oh well. =0)
ReplyDeleteAnd you asked what setting? I just had it on "action" cuz that makes the shutter FAST instead of the way it wants to hold itself wide open cuz its so dark out. We do have the same camera,right? Mine's the Cannon 40D.
Loved the Tinkerbell jammies and also the Hello Kitty boots! Glad you had a clear day the next day. We had a sunny day which was nice, as often it rains that weekend!
