Well, I've survived another Monday {barely!} With Dan being in Hawaii for meetings this week, and me recovering from a vicious swimmer's ear {doing much better...thank you everyone for wishing me well!} I've realized what a blessing it is to have Dan around...well, that didn't sound very nice...I mean, I realize how the little things he does are
huge when he's not here! I collected the trash and rolled it to the curb, mowed the lawn {maybe just half!} and have wrangled the kids to their activities, dinner {okay...Burger King} and got them to bed {okay...they've been sleeping in our bed...so I'm slacking a
little!} So I've survived 4 days so far without him...thank goodness he'll be home soon! But what about the rest of the summer? Carey @ Life in the Carpool Lane is hosting some survival tips to get us through those long, hot...or maybe rainy days...to help keep the kids happy...and most importantly...to keep Mom happy too! I mentioned yesterday that the kids started Soccer Camp this week...and they
love it! The camp is called
Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp. They provide these camps in several areas and the coaches are great with the kids! {and they even come with authentic British accents...so fun!} They played some great games to help with their drills and it provides plenty of activity to keep the kids going!
{Now you know I've got
plenty of pictures to provide you with every bit of action...sit tight!}

And because this afternoon was a scorcher, I thought the kids would love to come home and just jump in the pool and cool off! Emily did not hesitate...Alex just wanted to keep playing soccer! Emily cooled off for about
5 minutes and joined Alex too!

They went to bed
excited to do it again tomorrow! Hope you can find a Challenger Sports soccer camp in your area...or any sports camp! The kids have a great time and burn off
lots of energy!
Great pics and a great idea. I so need to get at least my oldest in a soccer camp. He'd love it.
ReplyDeleteLove the pic of Emily playing soccer in her swimsuit!
Thanks again for participating!
All of these pictures were so cute! Yah the swimming suit soccer outfit was pretty great!
ReplyDeleteI love summer camps! We don't have a soccer camp up here but we do have FIELD school with art lessons and hiking each week on a 400 acre farm. Not the same but the kids LOVE it.
ReplyDeleteCute picture of the kids!
Once a gain beautiful photos... and seriously, how cute is she in that little soccer outfit?!

Cute pictures. Love the first one. Emily looks so tough!
ReplyDeleteMy son played soccer when he was five and they were so cute out on the field! They would come up to the ball and be so polite and want to let the other person "go first," hehehe!
What fun. Love all of the photos with the editing! My boys are in baseball camp this week (in 100*+ weather too!) and are loving it!
ReplyDeleteI remember bringing my son home and crying "What do I do with him?" I just felt like I didn't know how to care for a baby but I did fine!
ReplyDeleteI cried when I brought the second one home too, saying "I can't remember what to do!" I was even nervous about changing such a tiny thing, and I'd already done it before, lol!
ooops, it's me Nan!
