Okay...
1. Relaxing in the pool!

5. Popsicles!
Speaking of Summer...after telling me your favorite things...are you terrified? Carey from Life in the Carpool Lane is! Join us and tell us your tips for surviving the summer with wee ones!
I remember when Alex & Emily were a little younger, it was much harder to get through those long, hot days. But now that they are a little bit older {seems like 3 years old, or potty-trained opens up a lot more doors!} there are more activities they are able to participate in.
My tip for today is to sign the kiddos up for VBS. Not just one...sign up for all of them in your area! It's the best way to interact with other kids, learn some wonderful Bible verses and...it's free! Alex and Emily always come home with cute crafts, songs and a new message about Jesus! It's a win-win...and mom can go have coffee with the other moms, hang out at Target...and even volunteer one day to see the kiddos having a blast! Can't wait to hear your tips! Just visit Carey and help a mama out! See you next Tuesday!
Now that I've told you the best tip you'll ever hear, I feel like a total Superstar! {sorry the award has gone to my head!} Kelli from Random Thoughts of a Supermom thinks I'm a Superstar Blogger, anyway!

And, if you're reading this, now go check out my sidebar and cute buttons and visit some other Superstar Bloggers! I really do want to list them all! Congratulations! And if you're still reading this...you're a Superstar, too! Thanks! Have a super start to your Summer!

Oooh...I would SO love to be at the beach right now! We have a (man made) beach in our town that I'd totally forgotten about but happened to go past this weekend. I can't wait until the weather gets just a little bit warmer so I can go up there.
ReplyDeleteI love all of your loves for summer. Are you packing yet for the beach...yeah. Jamison loved VBS last year and I can't wait to do it again. I might try the one up the street from us too. And you can let the award go to your head because you are a Superstar in my book!
ReplyDeleteWe are doing VBS this week...but no sitting at the coffee shop for me {I am the preschool VBS director}! I am sending my boys to my mom's church for VBS too this year...this will be their first time to do two in one summer!! That will be my week to relax and hit Target with only one kid in tow!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love this post!!! I think I'm gonna have to participate too!!! Thanks for the awesome idea. =0)
ReplyDeleteGreat list of summer loves...and adorable pics of Alex & Emily as usual...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the TTSS! I'll have to look and see what kind of program they have in our area...because a bit of time without the kids is a great way to survive!
Hope you'll come back with another great idea next week!
Oh I love the beach! I actually posted a few pics of the beach this morning. Love your pics. Too cute!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your awards. You deserve them. You are becoming quite the blogger my friend!
Love your pictures! I sure wish I had a pool in my backyard! It is sooooo hot here! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteAwesome post. What great summer pictures. Big fun in the summer for sure. We too love VBS. My kids love going to different ones to. They are so fun!
ReplyDeleteI love your pictures. I wish I could go to a beach like that! Now you have me day dreaming. We believe in popsicles at my house. I believe in extra sleep, too, but my kids don't.
ReplyDeleteDelighted to meet you! Found your site through Joye, and am splashin' around a bit. Ahh, the sites of summer, we are loving it too. Just a few more days of summer sunshine until we head back to the mission field in the middle of rainy season.
ReplyDeleteHugs for your day,
Sarah Dawn
Hi! I came over from Kelli's blog {Outside My Kitchen Window}. Love the summer list! Your blog is Adorable!
ReplyDeleteWell, noone got hurt YET, but I haven't really tried walking in them yet, lol!
ReplyDelete~ Nan
I love the VBS idea! I hadn't even thought about going to more than one - how clever. You're right about 3 - it seems like my son has so much more interest in fun stuff (well, okay, 'this little piggy' is fun, but...).
ReplyDeleteLOL
ReplyDeleteSigning up for all of the local VBS would be really fun. I could see going from church to church each week checking out what there is to offer.
I don't know about leaving my kids to go have coffee..but someone else having to come up with the entertainment sure excites me :)
What a super post! Congrats on the superstar blogger award. I love your 5 things and the pictures that went with them. They are adorable as always. And I agree VBS is a summer saver sometimes. My youngest went to three this summer. :)
