This week we have enjoyed our Spring Break, and although we didn't actually go on a vacation, we've had a wonderful vacation being at home! We've had beautiful weather, lazy mornings, and lots of time to spend together. As you may already know, Emily learned to ride her bike without training wheels! Another milestone, down! We've enjoyed the children's museums here in our town, and in the city! And we've enjoyed having no concept of time! Now that the week is almost over, I'm realizing I'm really going to miss this. We haven't felt rushed to get out the door, going to various activities and the kids haven't heard me say, "Hurry up! We're going to be late! We've got 10 minutes to get there!" I will miss spending these lazy mornings eating breakfast at 10:30 and watching their favorite tv shows. When they get older, I'm sure they will ask to spend their vacation time with friends and hardly want to be seen with mom! So, I'm joyfully being leisure and allowing this precious time to sink in, as we all snuggle under the blanket and watch another episode of Spongebob for the tenth time!

Pam has been enjoying a wonderful Spring Break, too in Florida! But don't forget to stop by her blog and check out what others are missing! And share with us what you are going to miss someday!
I saw eight of your posts on my dashboard but I don't remember if I saw this one. At least it's working. One gal had someone else's posts appearing on people's dashboard. Her feed got mixed up with someone elses (a business) and it was wierd. But it's fixed now.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a great week!
I too enjoy breaks from the hustle and bustle of life and just relaxing with the kids and being on the kid schedule. Great pictures and congrats to Emily for riding a two wheeler.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful week...I can't wait until my boys are old enough to enjoy being a bit lazy. Right now it's all about keeping them entertained nearly 100% of the time (and usually out of the house)!
ReplyDeleteI cried when my 5 yr old learned to ride without training wheels...lol.
ReplyDeleteOh how fun! I'm glad you guys had a great week!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful break together. Great job Emily! Yep, when they get older you are lucky to even see them during breaks. If I had the money we'd vacation every break from school just so I could keep the kids to myself! :)
